As you can tell from this picture my Dad is freaking cool. Although there is a lot less hair on his head, I still feel like my Dad could wear this shirt.  There must be something about looking up to your Dad that means no matter how old you are you still want him to show you how to do things.  Recently we were putting up a chicken coop in the back of my property and even though I probably could have figured out how to build it all myself, it just seemed natural to follow his lead and let him show me what to do.

 

 

 

My Dad has always made it a priority to make memories with me.  Lots of camping trips, constant fishing in the summer, building blocks, telling stories, he did it all.  He also did it while working at a stressful banking job with loan customers who required constant attention.

The picture of my Dad and I fishing in Alaska is one of my favorite pictures ever taken.  That day I felt like the manliest of men.
